Our Betway review covers everything you need to know about the online bookmaker, from claiming a sign-up offer to in-play betting markets. Here’s what you can expect to find in our comprehensive review:

About Betway Sportsbook

Betway was established by a group of betting fans back in 2006 and has gained high visibility and more recognition in the UK after sponsoring West Ham United FC consistently for a number of years.

The Betway group offers sportsbook betting, casino, slots, bingo, poker, live casino, eSports, Vegas casino betting, and much more. Esports betting is an emerging trend and Betway is one of the best eSports bookies operating in the United Kingdom.

The growing brand seems to be all over the TV and in the news at the moment. The Betway sportsbook team have been busy negotiating horse racing deals for ITV racing meets such as the Betway Summer Hurdle and Betway Summer Plate at Market Rasen.

One lucky Betway slot player also hit the headlines in 2015 after winning a massive £13.2 million to secure a Guinness World Record as the UK’s biggest online casino win.

Betway Sportsbook Free Bet, Promo & Bonus Code

Bookies Reviews doesn’t currently have a new customer bonus offer to promote, so we recommend you check out our top UK bookies comparison article.

Betway bonus offers and marketing is pretty heavy-handed, which is to be expected from an aggressively growing company, and these can provide some great value to new customers. They offer a number of different promos around their numerous sports markets.

The recurring free bets are very regular, especially for West Ham’s Premier League games, and unsurprisingly given their sponsorship with the London club and partnerships with Leicester City FC and Brighton, Betway has a lot of promotions around football.

Price boosts also feature prominently in Betway’s promotional offers, with daily updates providing punters with a fair amount of decent enhancements. There’s also an unmissable promotions tab at the top of the homepage, which takes you directly to the latest offers.

In-Play & Cashout with Betway

There’s good in-play coverage of the major events and markets, even if that coverage doesn’t dazzle. For major events and matches there appears to be a really good array of sub-markets on offer in the in-play feature, whereas for lesser-known competitions and games that variety is stripped back, but that’s par for the course.

Live streaming is on offer from Betway, but only for horse racing at the time of writing.

The in-play design has filters so that you don’t have to scroll through every sport to eventually land on the match you’re interested in. The fact that you can access in-play and nearly every sports category with such ease is a real plus for Betway.

Betway offers cashout on all sports, even football or horse racing multiples, and it’s easy to make a cashout. They also have a partial cashout feature in operation for some sports/events too.

Desktop & Website Based Experience with Betway

The website is clean and easy to navigate, the Betway identity runs throughout and you get a feel for the brand in all areas of design. When you land on the homepage it’s pretty easy to quickly work out what’s going and where you may want to head, thanks to this solid design layout.

Sections are clearly labeled and there some great additional menus to help you find your way around some of the more popular sections.

Big icons help you find the most important categories like football, tennis, cricket etc and the sliders help you move through easily as if you were scrolling on a tablet or mobile.

Betway Review: Mobile Website & App Based Experience

Betway has a responsive mobile website, as well as apps for its casino and sportsbook.

The sportsbook app is well designed, simple but very effective with an ease of use and speed/responsiveness that makes placing bets quick and drama-free, which is precisely what’s needed when betting on the go.

Overall the app mirrors the content and structure of the desktop website and mobile-responsive site pretty well, so all bases are covered.

Safety & Security Review When Using Betway

Deposit limits as part of the account set-up process show that Betway takes customer welfare seriously, and in addition to this there are a number of other measures in place to ensure customers are properly equipped with the necessary tools to avoid any negative experiences with regards over-spends etc.

Backing this up is a comprehensive responsible gambling section on the website, and when it comes to user privacy and security of data Betway are on top of things. They outline clearly how user data is collected and used in their privacy policy, which gives confidence with its comprehensive nature.

Customer Service & Support Experience

We haven’t had to contact customer services, but from reading other Betway reviews they appear to be transparent and helpful. A contact form pops up straight away showing email, live chat, or phone contact details when you access the contact page.

Their help section contains a well thought through FAQs sub-section, which should answer the majority of queries, and the aforementioned methods of customer contact provide a reasonable back-up for this if you don’t get what you need from the FAQs.

Betway Review: Final Overview

Summing up our Betway review, they have good offers and promos for existing customers, a decent in-play offering and slick website and app experience, combined with a positive and proactive attitude towards customer welfare makes Betway a good bookie in our eyes.

They perhaps don’t light things up with customer service in the same way as other bookies do, but in general Betway appear to be a conscientious operator.
